Therapy Approach
My approach to therapy is relational and client-centered. Sessions are your time for us to talk about and work on your life and priorities. Sessions are casual and conversational. I will be curious, not judgmental. Oftentimes I offer "homework" if clients are interested in doing more work between sessions.

My hope is therapy will help you better understand and address the needs of the present, come to terms with the past, and shape a healthier and happier future. If you give counseling a try with me, and you decide we are not a good fit, then no worries and no hurt feelings. I’m happy to help you connect with someone else to get the assistance you are seeking. That is most important!
For those interested in "modalities" and "theories," I use an integrated therapy approach based in Family Systems Theory that draws upon tools and interventions from various therapy models and methods. I am EMDR trained, use a lot of Gottman with couples, and like tools and concepts from other approaches when they seem to fit (CBT, DBT, EFT, narrative, etc,). I can also incorporate faith principles and perspective for clients desiring to do so. I'm a big believer that people are unique and part of therapy is understanding what tools and framework make the most sense for them. Please feel free to contact me with questions about any of this!

Therapy for everyone
Concierge Counseling
Flexibility to meet your needs
For those who have special circumstances, I offer the flexibility of coming to your home or meeting at another designated "third space" (not my office or virtual). These special arrangements are made on an individual basis and additional charges may apply. Ask me about this if you want more information.
Group Opportunities
Strength in Togetherness
I will sometimes offer group opportunities in partnership with other therapists and local organizations. These might be support groups, education groups, group therapy, or special trainings. For information on these opportunities, please just ask!
Recs & Resources
Empowering you
Sometimes, we just need some help connecting with good resources. I am happy to provide recommendations for books, podcasts, websites, etc. that I believe offer helpful resources for people to do some work on their own. Contact me with specific questions or needs so I can offer recommendations for you.
